Christmas DIY: painting Christmas baubles
You can make it as simple or elaborate as you like when painting your old baubles. For example, start with a neutral base colour and then work in layers with paint or paint markers. Draw a pattern, write a name or go freestyle. Also fun: let children paint their own baubles, guaranteed original results! Tip: put the ball on a pencil while painting. It's a lot nicer to hold and your hands stay cleaner.

Paint the ball in a light base colour and let dry well.
Lightly draw your design with pencil if necessary.
Paint your ball with acrylic paint or use paint pens. Let each layer dry thoroughly before continuing.
Want an extra layer of protection? Then apply a thin layer of varnish.
Finally, put the hook back into the ball.
